Challenge

Graphic design is a competitive industry. There are many graduates each year, but the job offerings are limited. In order to stand out from other competitors, I need to define my Unique Selling Proposition and create a piece that targets the audience who may benefit from my USP.

USP and intended message

I have a cheerful personality. I will bring my cheerful attitude to workplace, helping to boost creativity, optimize productivity and relieve stress of the team.

Target Audience

The target market is established companies with multiple departments. As a member of the design departments, I need to collaborate with other departments to produce work that follows the company’s brand identity and design standards and with in the tight deadlines. The working environment is fast-paced, deadline-oriented and not always interesting to create.

1. Inspiration and creativity are essential to all designers; however, they may not be prepared when you need them. My cheerful attitude will help to generate more creativity in the workplace.

2. Working on time-restricted projects can be very stressful. A cheerful attitude can relieve the stress and move the process forward.

3. Making a design with repeated guidelines and restrictions overtime make people exhausted. A cheerful personality will help to develop a positive work environment, hence increasing productivity.

Design Rational

The concept is to represent my USP as a lighting device that automatically switches in-between modes according to the atmosphere it detects.

There are three modes, each indicated one of the benefits.
